Paragraph on traffic jam: Traffic jam is a long line of vehicles that cannot move or that can only move very slowly because there is so much traffic on the road. Traffic jam is a common affair in the big cities and towns. It is one of the major problems of modern times. The causes of traffic jams are many. In proportion to our population roads have not increased. The roads are all the same.

There are many unlicensed vehicles that should be brought under control. The drivers are not willing to the traffic rules. They want to drive at their sweet will. The overtaking tendency also causes traffic jams. The number of traffic police is insufficient. At office time traffic jam is intolerable. Sometimes traffic jam is so heavy that it blocks half a kilometer. It kills our valuable time and our work is hampered. It causes great suffering to the ambulance carrying dying patients and the fire brigade vehicles.

However, this problem can be solved by adopting some measures. Well planned spacious roads should be constructed. One way movement of vehicles should be introduced. Traffic rules should be imposed strictly so that the drivers are bound to obey them. Sufficient traffic police should be posted on important points. Unlicensed vehicles should be removed. After doing all these things we can hope to have a good traffic system for our easy and comfortable movement.

The main cause of this problem is the narrowness of roads and a large number of vehicles. Our vehicles have increased but our roads have not increased. Unlicensed vehicles are increasing day by day. Many vehicles moving on the same road at the same time cause traffic jam. Besides, our traffic polices are not sincere. They often do not do their duties sincerely. The drivers are indifferent to traffic rules. They try to get more passengers stopping their buses here and there. All these things together cause traffic jams. Moreover, too many rickshaws plying on the streets is another cause of traffic jam. At the time of the traffic jam, everyone feels extremely bored as it kills valuable time. It causes great suffering to the ambulance carrying dying patients and the fire brigade vehicles.

However, this trouble should not be allowed to continue. This problem can be solved by adopting some measures. Well planned spacious roads should be constructed. Strict laws should be imposed to control traffic jams. Exemplary punishment should be given to drivers who do not obey traffic rules. Above all, the traffic authority should be more active to enforce traffic rules and maintain the discipline on the roads.

Every day the city people have to face this unbearable problem. Sometimes, the situation deteriorates to such an extent that jam lasts for hours together. The density of the population is the main cause of traffic jams. The ever-increasing number of buses, trucks, autorickshaws, rickshaws is also responsible for this problem. Roads and streets have not newly constructed in proportionate to the growth of the population. This results in a tremendous traffic jam.

Moreover, the traffic control system is not developed in our country. The drivers are inclined to run their vehicles at their sweet will. There is also a tremendous want of sufficient traffic police.
